This video shows how cockroaches can easily climb up a glass rod coated with PTFE (Teflon). But when the rod is coated with Insectislide, a new insect-repellent surface, the cockroaches are foiled and slip off. This new coating is inspired by research into insects' feet, which has recently unveiled a new understanding of how those tiny feet stick.
