Real-Time Character Development for Inside Out 2 While working at Walt Disney Studios, I had the opportunity to lead and execute the creation of real-time character assets for Inside Out 2, marking the first-ever Unreal Engine-based characters officially approved by Pixar. Each character—Joy, Anger, Sadness, Embarrassment, and Anxiety—was meticulously custom-built for real-time performance. I crafted every element from the ground up, including: Hand-painted 4K textures for skin, clothing, and facial features Custom grooms tailored to each character’s personality and movement Texture-based particle effects integrated into their skin and emotional glow, capturing the signature Pixar visual flair in real time Optimized topology and shaders to support dynamic lighting and facial performance without compromising fidelity This project represents a groundbreaking collaboration, blending Pixar's iconic storytelling with cutting-edge real-time rendering in Unreal Engine. The characters were not only technically innovative—they stayed true to the emotional heart of the film.
