Insulation Weight Loss Test
1、Cut 3 specimens from the tested insulation core, and each specimen is about 100 mm long; 2、Remove all metal conductors inside the test pieces and perforate the test pieces to facilitate subsequent threading to make hanging parts; 3、Measure the outer diameter of test pieces and mark on these specimens (when measuring the outer diameter, avoid squeezing test pieces to prevent inaccurate measurement of the O.D.); 4、Place test pieces in a desiccator for 20 hours; 5、Take out test pieces and weigh them; 6、Thread three test pieces with a copper wire, facilitating the hanging in a aging box; 7、Set the temperature of the aging box; 8、Hang the test pieces in the aging box for 7x24 hours, and the distance between the test pieces is required to be at least 20 mm; 9、After the heat treatment is completed, take out and disassemble the hanging parts; 10、Put the test pieces in the desiccator again for 20 hours; 11、Take out test pieces, weigh them, and calculate the weight loss.
