Intermediate Fiddle Lesson 5

In this lesson I concentrate on playing in the key of A. Covering the the basic scale of A by playing a simple tune to establish the position of all the notes commonly played in that scale. Giving a good intonation practice. Then the lesson moves on to teach a Hornpipe Tune with a nice bouncy rhythm and incorporating a degree of cross bowing, which to my mind is a semi double shuffle type of bowing. In otherwords, it's a great way to take the first step to be able to learn double shuffle bowing in a later video. Finally, I discuss, demonstrate and incorporate into the tune three different grace note, covering two different types.
