This video focuses on the intermediate blocks of Shotokan karate. It is split into several parts. Part 1 looks at the "morote-uke" - assisted block or augmented block. This block is found in most of the basic katas such as Heian Nidan, Heian Sandan, Heian Yondan and Heian Godan. However, it can be used in both a defensive manner and also an attacking manner.
