This workshop was a recap and practice of my class in May. We went through two-handed connection and turns, and how it twists our arms. Reading what type of connection allows you to see what type of turn you can have for yourself or your partner. We looked at two methods to extend turning in the same direction: Hand flick and slippery-hands (I like calling it "slide of the hand" as it is semi-unnoticeable, like a magic trick). We also practiced barrel roll, a variation, wrap-copa with barrel roll, hammerlock-copa, outside turn ( called inside turn in the video; it is not) and "belt" turn. "Belt" turn is our new name for a move we didn't invent - this is when leader does a left turn inside a cross body turn, using a cross-handed lead-by-the-hip-bone-and-belt connection to lead the cross-body turn.
