I didn't explain this very well, but Item guy is a metroidvania esque platforming game where, to get to and beat the final boss, Omega, Ryder Lightfoot, also known as Item Guy has to collect several gems. these gems act as power-ups along with items that you collect through the game. the demo will be released as a prologue for the main game where Item Guy has to escape The Cage and reclaim his sword.
