John Session 2

Cross Country Fellowship Bible Study of the Book of John. This session covered John chapter 1 verses 12 through 28. This passage clearly stated that all people who believe that Jesus is God and commit their lives to Him become children of God, adopted by God into His very large family. Jesus is God. Before He allowed Himself to be born as a human man, He was in heaven with God, the Father. But He willingly gave up heaven to become a man so that He could live, die, and be raised to life for us. Our sin earns us death but Jesus died in our place so we don't have to. Jesus came to earth showing much grace. John 1:16 says that He gives us grace piled on grace. The last part of this passage is about the mission of John the Baptist. He came to prepare people to hear Jesus' message.
