Cross Country Fellowship Bible Study of the Book of John. This session covered John chapter 12 verses 12 through 50. We covered a lot of verses so we could finish chapter 12. John chapter 12 completes John's teaching on Jesus' public ministry. In this section of John 12, Jesus publicly stated that His time had come. He was just days from His crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus entered Jerusalem with a lot of fanfare because a lot of people had heard that Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead. The people believed Jesus would proclaim Himself as King and kick out the Romans. They didn't understand that Jesus had to first die and rise from the dead to save us from our sins.
