LaGrange is a village in Lorain County, Ohio. Incorporated in 1875, it's named after the French home of Marquis de Lafayette. "LaGrange" means "the farm" in French. Historically known for sandstone and mills. LaGrange Civil War Statue of Sherman was destroyed in 2022 from a traffic crash but was replaced by Master Stone Carver Nicholas Fairplay. The monument stood since 1903. We're glad to see you back, Sherman.
