Step 3 of 13 Steps to Music Literacy.
This lesson guides students to continue learning do re mi so la do' in the extended pentatonic scale. Short phrases singing words first, then the syllables are practiced. The emphasis is on locating the sounds by ear without using written representation. This song is found in Level Three - Unit 4 page 157. Each lesson is meant to be experienced in sequential order within a unit of activities beginning with Step 1 through Step 13 to build understanding and musical skills for advancement to the next unit.
