Lime washing walls becomes its own art piece. There really is no wrong way to approach doing a project like this. Brick is a bit tricky compared to drywall but is way more fun because of the contrast you can accomplish.
Pro Tip: Use the ten minute rule when applying the limewash paint. You do an effect and then don't go over that same area for ten minutes. If you try to do to much all at once then you won't achieve the contrast you desire.
