It is now time to start the Linore Flax harvest. We planted in Nov and the flax over wintered. Next year I will plant in October to give the flax a bit more growing time before winter sets in. It may do better that way. I may even try Sept to see what it will do. There is no lodging (laying over of the flax) in this field while I have a load of lodging in my other field. Linore has been easy to harvest, bundle, and tie up then hang on the fence. Now Im hoping for a great outcome when it comes to the quality of the fiber.
