A young girl, known for her red cape, is sent by her mother to deliver goodies to her sick grandmother. Along the way, she disobeys her mother's instructions and strays from the path to pick flowers, where she encounters a cunning wolf. The wolf tricks her, hurries ahead to the grandmother's house, and impersonates the grandmother to lure Red Riding Hood into a trap. Just as the wolf is about to devour Red Riding Hood, a huntsman intervenes, saves both Red Riding Hood and her grandmother from the wolf's belly, and the story concludes with a happy ending.
