LMMS Xpressive 4-Bit PCM Vocal Sample Test.
LMMS has a built-in instrument named Xpressive which generates audio by evaluating time domain mathematical expressions. All Xpressive instruments are therefore created by mathematical functions.
This was an early attempt to 'sample' 4-bit audio and convert it to ternary Xpressive parsing expressions. I have since upgraded my 'sampling routines'.
The idea behind this track was that a lot of the music I seem to remember regardless of genre or year has been very simple. There is only a snare and kick for drums. All arrangement is by myself, but very
simple and repetitive. There is also a meaning behind why I chose these vocal samples, of course.
After many tests, I have created a cross-platform GUI in C++ at
