The L&M horizontal single stage centrifugal process pump LMS-NPR with vortex impeller allows the passing of large solids through the pump with minimum wear. This is possible thanks to the large gap between the impeller and the wear plate in this pump.
The impeller of the L&M pump produces a vortex stream along the inlet pipe that suctions the solids and impulses them along the discharge pipe through the large passing gap in the volute casing.
