VISION Fish-friendly pump

Proven fish-friendly! Test fish-friendliness: The research into the fish-friendliness of the new pump type Vision is completed. The same model pump that was also used for hydraulic testing of the Vision pump, now served to demonstrate its fish-friendly properties. The Vision was tested at various speeds, capacities and pressure heads. The tests show that this newly developed pump type has made fish-friendly pump operation possible. Partners: A license for animal testing was applied by the ecological consultancy ATKB after which the tests were performed in cooperation with Eindhoven University of Technology and Visserij Service Nederland. The test procedure, which may be regarded as normative, was established by Eindhoven University of Technology in close collabora-tion with ATKB. The required fish (roach, rudd, perch and eels) were provided by Bram van Wijk of Visserij Service Nederland.
