Today we created sentences using the wordlist from last Friday’s lesson, Ojibwe Star Map. Most words that are used in the context of Spiritual Ceremonial language can be used to express ourselves in everyday conversation: Words such as Gimaamaanaan used to refer to our mother earth can be used to refer to our/my own mother. Eg: Gichi anokii ‘ gimaamaanaan, Translation: Our mother works hard.
