Luminar 4.2 Shadows & Creating the Image Luminar 4.2 is the new update in the software line and include AI Augmented Sky, a new feature that is very useful when placing objects in the Sky without the masking. In this video I show you the full process to creating my favourite composite so far using Luminar 4.2 and the Ai Augmented Sky but in particular I show you the technique that I now use to create shadows within images. There will be other techniques out there, dodging and burning for example, and the method I show you here can be used alongside that on a stamped layer. It's a long one again at 26 minutes but it may provide you with some ideas for your own images and in particular a neat (I think) technique for creating shadows. Once you have the idea then it's just the process. There are many ways to create your images and its fun to try different things with your images.I hope the methods shown in this tutorial are useful to you in creating your own. Its really worth exploring the software and seeing what it can do and as well as that letting your imagination run free :) It’s good to think outside the box at times and just experiment with what you can do with your software. The focus of the tutorial is not the final image but the process involved to get there. Try the techniques for yourself and see what happens, if you like them use it in the future. But if not, well at least you have learned something that the software can do differently.
