Lagree Fitness founder and creator talks about the Megaformer M3 vs M2 series. The Megaformer was originally created for the Lagree Fitness Method (www.lagreefitness.com) but can be used to practice other methods or used in conjunction with other fitness programs. Lagree Fitness was voted #1 workout on ClassPass. The M2 was designed before the M3 and is much simpler in design. The M3 has more functionality than the M2 such as: Multiple handle grip Quick Release springs Anchoring points Longer and wider carriage Enhanced front and back platform Accessories can be added to both machines to increase the number of exercises. The M2 is only available in used or restored condition. Both machines will develop your core strength. Working out on the Mega is like lifting weights but instead of lifting weights around you; you are actually lifting yourself! You are moving with the weight which naturally activates your core. The other benefit is that we are not using weights or dumbbells; we are using springs for resistance. Springs training is superior to weights because it provides variable tension which eases the tension on the connective tissues. The springs make any exercise low impact. The combination of the balance (core) and variable tension (springs) makes Lagree an "integrative" method which will strengthen your body has a whole. The opposite of an integrative workout is a workout that isolates a muscle or group of muscles which you can still do on the Mega using the Red Cables.
