Mandarin duck is quite rare on this place, which gathered a lot of curious people. The duck was sort of fearless and quite accommodating with the peoples from the park, and the people of course loved the unusual duck presence.
The theory is the mandarin escaped a farm, on which is why it domestic behaviors and is blending with the other domestic mallards.
It is forming a couple with a female wood duck as seen here, but alas they won't be able to reproduce because of the differences in the specie's non-matching chromosomes, in which will only result blank eggs from the female.
