Making marshmallows is easier than you think. ►Subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/cookinginnancishomekitchen?sub_confirmation=1 FOLLOW NANCI & ORDER FROM HER BAKERY ►FaceBook: https://facebook.com/NancisBakeShop ►Instagram: https://instagram.com/nancisbakeshoppe ►Tumblr: https://nancisbakeshoppe.tumblr.com ►Threads: https://www.threads.net/@nancisbakeshoppe #CINHK #CookingInNancisHomeKitchen #NancisBakeShoppe ▼MARSHMALLOWS RECIPE▼ ========================= Ingredients: •1 cup water •7 ½ teaspoons unflavored gelatin •2 cups sugar •⅓ cup corn syrup •¼ teaspoon salt •1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract •powdered sugar Directions: •Pour half a cup of water into a mixing bowl, pour the yeast into the water and set aside while the gelatin blooms. •While the yeast blooms, mix together in a sauce pan half a cup of water, the sugar and corn syrup ensure all of the sugar is wet. •Over medium-high heat, bring the sugar mixture to a boil. •Reduce the heat to medium, put a lid on the sauce pan and let cook for 2 minutes. •Bring the sugar mixture up to 243 degrees. •Once the sugar is at the proper temperature, remove the heat and let the bubbles in the mixture die down. •While the sugar mixture slightly cools, whisk the gelatin and water mixture on low with a stand mixer using a whisk attachment. •While the mixer is still running on low, slowly pour the slightly cooled sugar mixture onto the inner wall of the mixing bowl. •While the mixer is still running, add the salt and increase the mixing speed to high and let run for 10 minutes. The contents should triple in size. •Add the vanilla extract, any flavor desired or any color desired and mix on medium for one minute. •Liberally grease a pan and spatula with vegetable shortening or pan grease. •Scoop the marshmallow from the mixing bowl into the pan. •Smooth out the marshmallow as much as possible. •Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of the marshmallow to prevent over-drying. •Let cool and harden for six hours. •Cut into whatever shape is desired before serving. Be sure to put powdered sugar on the exposed edges and bottom.
