May 2025. First week of the program. Ten strangers in a room running the Arctic crash survival case. Two of them dig in on a single item — one says hand axe, one says sleeping bag. A hand hits the table. Three to one, the room moves on.
May 2026. Capstone week. Same two men. Different problem. Same posture.
A whole master's degree in between. Stats. Optimization. Probability. Risk. Human factors. Systems analysis. The full curriculum. And when the cohort sat them back down at a table with a hard problem, the argument picked up exactly where it left off.
