This is a less commonly required exercise, often for asymmetrical low back pain, with or without referred leg symptoms that fail to reduce or centralise with extension exercises. Symptoms should remain better or more centralised after performing the exercise to indicate it is correct for you. You should only perform this exercise under the guidance of a fully qualified McKenzie practitioner to ensure you understand the exercise and ensure it is appropriate for your condition.
