It has taken me a while to warm up to the concept of being a veteran. When I think of being a veteran, I sometimes have a picture of being very old and waiting to die. After really doing a lot of soul-searching, I had to rethink the idea of what a veteran truly is. Being a veteran must be very special because we are celebrated and given our own day to recognize the accomplishment and sacrifices to make America what it currently is. I would like to take this time to salute all veterans pass and present and pray for our current troops that are out fighting wars so that we can enjoy the very freedoms that we have every day.
