Meet Diana Chavez

"Hi everyone, I'm Diana Chavez. My hometown is Ossining, New York and my major is psychology. Once I came here and I really saw the depths that are classes in the program go to um, and all the different areas, psychology, I knew that I was right where I where I wanted to be. You're learning by doing it. And that's I think part of the outside experience that you get here, I think, is that you're not just sitting in a classroom, right? Have other ways of um learning and building skills. Great memories to to have. I've done the goat yoga, going to the carnival um open house fair that they have and just be in community. Endless opportunities to engage with other people. Everything that I've gotten here at Oneonta working with a professor that works specifically in child development um who I'm doing research with taking a class in counseling youth and families in the uh department of uh human and family studies like that's kind of the education that you get here that has led me to what I want to do. It really has been a place of community um opportunity um and I'm grateful to have been a red dragon."
