Mesh analysis is a technique for analyzing planar electrical circuits by applying Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law (KVL) around defined, independent loops (meshes) to determine unknown currents. It reduces circuit complexity by using mesh currents as variables, creating a system of linear equations to solve for branch currents. It is most efficient when a circuit has fewer loops than nodes.
