In this video I'm starting to build my MicroBeast, soldering all the discrete components, connectors, and headers on the PCB. This part of the build took me about 90 minutes in total. I've shortened it to highlight parts of the build that are either interesting, or may be stumbling blocks for those less comfortable with electronics. NB: The resistor and capacitors are grouped in bags in such a way that it is easy to determine their values by counting them As such, it is worth not emptying all the bags out at once and soldering them by bag order. It is still worth double-checking the resistor bands. Errata: I mention that the diode stripe at 10:20 is on the right; my view is upside down, so it is on the camera's left.
