This is a one third scale model of an overcrank steam engine at the Quarry Bank Mill in Cheshire, England. The design and drawings are by Stewart Hart.
It is made entirely from standard bar stock, except for the flywheel casting. The twin cylinders have a bore of 20mm and a stroke of 36mm.
The overcrank design gives a very compact engine as the space usually taken by the crosshead is removed.
It is being run on 15 to 30psi air here as I do not have a suitable boiler for steam power.
