★ モークに関して 「ミニ」はベースとなっているミニを、「モーク」はロバを表すミニ・モーク（Mini Moke ）はミニの設計者であるアレック・イシゴニスによってミニのエンジン、トランスミッション、サスペンションなどを流用して設計され、1964年から製造、販売された。 試作段階では軍用車を目指したが、タイヤのサイズが小さく最低地上高も低かったことからオフロード走行には適さなかったため、一般向けの車両として発売された。 結果としてはビーチバギーとして成功をおさめ、リゾート地などにおいてマニア向けの人気車となった。なお、1990年以降はイタリアのオートバイメーカー、CAGIVA(カジバ)によってポルトガルで1993年まで生産が続けられた。 ★ Moke "Mini" is the base mini, "Moke" is a donkey mini moke (Mini Moke) designed by mini engineer Alec Ishigonis using the mini engine, transmission, suspension, etc. It was manufactured and sold since 1964.
