Monochromatic Stare - DrasticDzastr I used to color outside the lines Like the universe forgot to cage me Black oceans hanging from my hands Golden light dripping softly from the vacancy Then I found divinity inside your voice And folded myself into your shape Held hostage by a love so absolute I mistook surrender for escape Now the world is monochrome again A cathedral painted in ash and smoke Every hallway echoes in grayscale silence Like heaven itself forgot to spoke I watched my own heart die quietly No screaming, no curse, no rage Just the hollow eyes of a man Watching eternity close its cage I did everything love asked of me Offered my ribs like sacred wood Still the universe consumed it whole And called the devastation good So now I sit beside the void again Calm as the stars before collapse No tears left inside the system Only static in the cracks And somehow that silence saved me Because once you lose everything The fear leaves with it The chains dissolve The colors return wrong, but honest Now I color outside the lines again Not because I am free from pain But because the wound became holy And heaven grew inside the stain I carry the blackness differently now Like a prophet dragging galaxies through rain A monochrome soul becoming luminous Through unbearable love and unbearable pain The void took everything from me And still I answered it with light
