Here it is, the long awaited and much requested addition to my original “Total Gym - HACKS” video, (more) Total Gym - HACKS! In my first HACKS video, I primarily focused on what I found was easy to do with my personal Total Gym, which in an XLS model. As I quickly learned from many comments, though, many people cannot implement the same hacks on their Total Gym due to so many other models not having the same setup as my XLS model. Many people have entry level models or high end models that are simply older. These entry level and older model Total Gyms seem to share many of the same limitations, such as not being able to add plate weight or not having an optional squat platform! Many users have the modern “Fit” model, which allows the addition of plate weight but only to the bottom of the glide board, which severely limits your options on which types of additional weight you can add. Of course, there is also one very serious issue that ALL Total Gym users are impacted by; Total Gyms are inherently easy to tip over! I can’t tell you how many horror stories or “close call” stories I have heard related to Total Gyms tipping over while users are getting on or off, or even sometimes during the middle of an exercise. Well, I decided to address those issues, here. I asked myself; “What are a few hacks that can be helpful for all of Total Gym, Weider Total Body Works, Vigor Fit, and other ‘slide gym’ users? A few simple things that do not require special tools, special materials, permanent modifications, or a lot of time and money.” And the biggest one; “How can I improve the SAFETY of all Total Gyms?” Well, this is what I was able to come up with. Of course there are “better” ways to accomplish these things. There are more secure, stronger, more stable, more versatile, and permanent versions of all of these hacks. -BUT- These are the versions that should be fast, easy, and cheap/free for everyone.
