I made this dance in honour of the wonderful staff at la Maison Anglaise and the Berber people of southern Morocco, where I have run several circle dance holidays. The gesture of kissing the fingers, taking that hand to the heart and offering the hand is a blessing given to the person they are speaking to and is in common use by all ages in Moroccan culture.
