Mt Abriel

Mt. Abriel Recreation Area — Nakusp, BC Mt. Abriel is a booming mountain bike destination near Nakusp, complete with multiple trails, a campground, bike park, and shelters. Arrow Slocan Location It sits on the shores of Upper Arrow Lake, just north of Nakusp, BC. From Nakusp, drive approximately 8 km north on Highway 23 and turn left onto Turner Road — there are highway signs in place 300 metres before the turnoff. Sites and Trails BCCamping & RVing BC Trails With 48 trails spread over 40 km, the network includes adaptive mountain biking trails, a bike park, cross-country and downhill trails, as well as jump lines. At final build-out, there will be 50 km of world-class trails situated in a picturesque setting. The trail system is managed by the Nakusp and Area Bike Society (NABS). Arrow SlocanNakusp Bike Society Camping There are 48 campsites available for tent and trailer camping, with beach access and a day use area. Fee collection begins April 1st, and all sites are first-come, first-served — no reservation system is in place. Sites and Trails BC Signature Route The Abriel Epic Loop is a 14-mile intermediate mountain bike route featuring 21 trails, climbing 4,693 ft to a max elevation of 5,262 ft. Trailforks Events Mt. Abriel hosted a stage of the Singletrack 6 race in 2024, described as one of the week's best tracks — 95% singletrack with a mix of climbing trails, slabs, rocks, roots, steeps, and flow.
