College Trigonometry Chapter 10, Topic 2—Multiplying Complex Numbers in Polar Form
Multiplication of complex numbers is equivalent to multiplying their absolute values and adding their angles. This fact is proved in this video. While it is not practical to use this technique to multiply two complex numbers, it sets up a highly useful theorem, De Moivre's Theorem, which is derived in the next video.
