As part of our commitment to ensuring communities have consistent access to clean and healthy water, we were pleased to commission new boreholes in Dedza and Malembo, Lilongwe, in December 2025. This initiative currently provides 286 households with safe drinking water, fundamentally transforming daily life in these areas. By reducing the gruelling hours previously spent fetching water, children now have more time to concentrate on their education, while women are empowered to focus on personal development and economic activities. Furthermore, this reliable water source ensures that local farmers have the resources necessary to maintain thriving backyard gardens, bolstering community food security. Beyond the immediate health benefits of clean water, these boreholes serve as a foundation for long-term resilience and self-reliance. By integrating water access with our agricultural initiatives, we are seeing a direct correlation between improved irrigation and household income. We remain dedicated to monitoring these sites and working alongside community leaders to ensure these resources are managed sustainably, allowing the benefits of this gift to flourish for generations to come. #SelfReliantFamilies #wellsofhope
