I just completed my CDMP exam, and I wanted to share a quick snapshot of my experience.
The exam was not extremely difficult, but it definitely required clarity on the DAMA concepts — not memorization, but understanding the logic behind each chapter.
Most questions were scenario‑based, so knowing the real purpose of each discipline in the DMBOK helped me more than anything else.
If you’re preparing, focus on the fundamentals, the key terms, and how everything fits together in the data management lifecycle.
Overall, it was a great learning journey — and the process of studying gave me more confidence in real-world data practices than the certification itself.
