My replacement Mr AI

An AI program is not a DATA it must see what a human sees to keep the chemical cell with in certain limits or the chemical reactor will explode not from the contents in the reactor, but from the container being over pressure. Every batch I run cost $50k in raw chemicals problems are not an option that is not the place to have a trial run. If there is a problem I would hope that a AI logic program would figure it out far ahead of time. There is a lot of excitement surrounding artificial intelligence, specifically generative AI and large language models, and for good reasons. If used properly, AI can increase efficiency, assist with idea generation and provide fast knowledge transfer. Reliance on AI to generate engineering solutions is not a sound replacement for traditional human engineers. So, why can’t AI be used to replace human engineers? It simply comes down to the lack of ability to “think for itself” to create novel solutions and not being able to differentiate good data from bad data.
