My Scars & My Tattoos

I do not have any "track mark" scars because I never had any veins 🤷‍♀️ What I do have are surgery scars to remove abscesses from muscular-shooting. While heroin/fentanyl can quickly absorb into muscular tissue, cocaine cannot. And whenever I was really sick and broke I would pick up "empties" (baggies other addicts had throw on the ground but still had small amounts in them) UNFORTUNATELY sometimes some of those would be what would cause an abscess 🫤 There are people on the streets that lose entire limbs due to ignoring the problem.. But more frequently than not its NOT that the addict cant go 2 days without their fix to end this *insane* pain, its because of the way we are treated in the hospitals that keeps us from going. I can count on 1 hand how many nurses that I met during my *many* stays whom were actually kind to me 😒 We as a society need to do better with the way we treat one another 🖤💯 Also, do you like my tattoos? 😆 #wedorecover #tattoo #singlemom #discriminationprevention
