nmon Starter Pack for AIX Data Capture (actually most of this applies to nmon for Linux too). Using the -f flag means the data is saved in a file in comma separated values test format - making it easy to edit with say "vi" to hep understand the data. The options for the number of seconds between captures is set with the -s option and then the -c sets the number of captures to make. Other options are covered too. It is very simple to capture the data but please make sure you don't capture too much data. A follow on video will cover the analysing of the stats.
Note: I have retired from IBM but I am still interesting is supporting and helping nmon and njmon users. Plus questions on AIX 7 and Power10 servers. Please use [email protected] from now on.
