The irritating racket made by new electric ADL buses in Oxford even when parked (as this was).
Why on earth do they have to make this ghastly noise when standing still?
Also, why is it necessary to have them all making this noise, when hybrid buses (which often pull away and run silently) have been running for 20 years without such things - and modern rear-engined diesel buses are silent at the front end also?
Stationary buses making this horrible gurgling wheezing noise much detract from areas where buses stand and several buses together really disturb a peaceful street, whilst claiming on the sides and rears of some "hear birds, not buses".
This one was parked up for 10mins or so, emitting this annoying noise all the time - which was clearly audible inside St Mary’s Church just across the street.
