Large Eddy Simulation (LES) with OpenFOAM 2.2.x and the FireFOAM solver of a turbulent helium plume. The scenario is a demonstration of buoyancy-generated turbulence and the generation of a Rayleigh - Taylor instability at the base of the plume. The video presents the density field on the centerline with superimposed the velocity vectors.
