Hey everyone! This is Dr. Maples and today we'll begin discussing the idea of a variable, how we use variables in studies, how we define (conceptualize) and measure (operationalize) variables, and how we understand if the measures are good measures or not (validity, reliability). We'll also do our usual good and bad examples of these ideas to help you understand their application. Terminology for today: Variables Operationalizing variables Conceptualizing variables Reliability Validity Would you like to publish your own undergraduate research?
