Orange Cranberry Scones
Orange Cranberry Scones Ingredients: - 2 cups + 2 tbsp. (260 g) AP flour - 1 tbsp baking powder - 3 tbsp (40 g) sugar - ½ tsp salt - 5 tbsp (70 g) butter, cold - 1-2 tbsp orange zest - 1 cup heavy cream - ¾ cup dried cranberries - ½ cup powdered sugar - 1 tbsp orange juice - 1 tbsp heavy cream Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 400 F. 2. Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. 3. Cut in cold butter. 4. Add orange zest and cream. 5. Add cranberries and gently form the dough into a round shape. Make 2 disks if smaller scones are desired. 6. Wrap dough disk(s) in plastic wrap. 7. Chill disk(s) in the fridge for 1-2 hours. 8. Cut (each) disk into 6-8 equal pieces. 9. Arrange on parchment paper lined cookie sheet with 2 inches between them. 10. Bake at 400 F for 12-18 min. 11. Meanwhile mix powdered sugar with orange juice and cream to make the glaze. 12. Drizzle glaze over baked scones. If “all over” uniform glaze is desired, add glaze on scones while hot. If you want to see drizzle lines, wait a few minutes for them to cool slightly. 13. Enjoy!
