ORION | Autonomy Payload for Intelligent Off-Road Navigation

DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A. Approved for public release: distribution unlimited. Intelligent Automation Inc. (IAI) has developed the ORION Autonomy Payload for Intelligent, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance mission planning and load delivery tasks. ORION is a hardware and software package that employs state-of-the-art machine learning and AI techniques to enable automatic assessment of terrain traversability as well as intelligent motion planning and execution. IAI is working with the U.S. Army to evaluate ORION on man-portable and mid-sized UGVs, and will be extending applicability to larger platforms, such as Next Generation Combat Vehicles (NGCV).
