Building up Packing Marsh off Mersea Island, replacing the Sand and ballast caused by costal erosion.
Dutch registered Hopper Dredger Sospan Dau will be recharging strategic points around Mersea harbour over the next few weeks / months. It is dredging the entrance to Harwich Harbour and transporting and dumping the spoil, 15 miles down the coast onto Packing Marsh, Cobmarsh and Old Hall point.
