Mimal Ranger and artist, Raymond Fordimail, works with Mimal’s Learning on Country program to teach the kids about traditional line painting (the “x-ray” style, typical of central Arnhem Land).
We explore how to make a traditional paintbrush from reeds (called “Djarlk” in Dalabon) and then use it to create paintings in traditional colours – red, yellow, black and white.
