This is our 10 year old Pardalis Pardalis Leopard Tortoise digging her nest for her third clutch of the season. Quite challenging to get her to lay indoors because no matter where I have placed the dirt tub she always walks over to another location to try and dig. Often she will dig the nest to completion and then walk away! Then I have to fill it back up and cover it with plywood until she starts trying to dig again. Eventually she is ready to lay and will stay put. She never finds the dirt tub on her own. She always try's to dig on the plywood floor and I have to move her over to the dirt tub manually. But it works. This is her 17th clutch!
