By introducing a 180° phase-shifted RF tone, the simulation mimics high-fidelity experimental setups, achieving noise floor reduction. The work highlights how SNR must be manually calculated and compares results for both DFB and CW lasers, providing insight into balanced photodetection under modulated RF conditions.
