Ped buttons can be paired with logic statements to allow more flexibility in the signal operation. A logic statement which says if the ped button was pushed while phase 7 is green, to call vehicle phase and ped phase 5 allows pedestrians to get to the island and cross with phase 6. Therefore reducing ped delay for NB pedestrians. Simple yet effective!
